Good Morning all! Before I post today’s recipe I want to let everyone know I’m in the author spotlight over at Mac’s Mad Mania so be sure you go on over and check it out!
Okay, onto today’s recipe. I decided to do something a little different and post my dog, Sandy’s, favorite treat.
PEANUT BUTTER COOKIES
Ingredients:
2 Tbsp corn oil
1/2 cup peanut butter (smooth)
1 cup water
1 cup whole wheat flour
2 cups white flour
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine oil, peanut butter and water. Add flour one cup at a time, then knead into a firm dough. Roll dough into 1/4″ thickness and cut with a cookie cutter. Place on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 for 20 minutes. Makes 2 1/2 dozen.
*I tend to roll them out thinner so it only takes 15-17 minutes to bake.
Sandy goes nuts for these treats.
I hope everyone has a wonderful day!
And don’t forget to check out Mac’s Mad Mania!
Love it…I bet Tess and Libby would love those too 🙂 Of course Tess doesn’t work off those treats as well as she used to, so she’d be a bit limited…lol
Thanks for sharing Ceri!
LOL I can’t imagine they’re too high in calories. Sandy isn’t exactly the most active dog but that’s not by her choice. If I let her off the leash she’s gone. Hope Tess and Libby enjoy them!
I used to bake for my dogs…before I started trying to get published. The one sitting on my lap right now is trying to convince me to make them RIGHT NOW! I’m getting the puppy-dog eyes.
P.S. My dogs also like peanut butter cookies with banana in them.
