Wow, I had my SSS all ready to go but something went wrong. Glad I checked!
Anyway! Welcome to Six Sentence Sunday! Glad you came!
If you’ve read any of my previous posts you’ll see I’m in celebration mode-my story That Kind of Magic is now available at Amazon. I’ve plunged into the world of self publishing! I’m pretty excited!
In previous weeks I’ve posted sentences from my WIP-the sequel to That Kind of Magic, but this week I’m going to post from the story itself.
Here’s the blurb to That Kind of Magic:
What’s a witch to do when she refuses to use magic to find love? What if she falls in lust with a man who doesn’t believe in the power of magic? Charlotte is a beautiful Wiccan who has her own shop of magical supplies and a matchmaking goddess. Patrick is a straight-laced, non-believer who, in his determination to keep his sister away from the influences of magic and witchcraft, finds himself falling for a witch. Neither can stop the erotic journey they’ve embarked on but they don’t know if they can accept each others very different lives.
And here’s today’s Six:
The storekeeper’s gaze remained steady.
“And also, in case you’re curious but too polite to ask, Mr. Riordan, there are other things that go against my beliefs.”
Patrick smiled wryly. “Yes, I know. You won’t turn me into a frog, no matter how much you want to.”
She smiled at him, and he had the feeling it was the closest thing to a genuine smile she had for him.
Make sure you go to Six Sentence Sunday for more awesome sentences! Have a great week!
I totally agree with Liz about stories having constraints on magic being the best, and you do this really well. It will be a great read following them break down the barriers between them. Great work, Ceri, and congratulations on the release!
A cute six! I look forward to reading more. 🙂
I love stories about witches who can’t use their magic for some reason.
LOL Thanks Liz. 🙂
Good one, Ceri. Sounds intriguing. Best of luck with the re-release.
Lovely six! Looking forward to reading more 😀
Also, congrats on the jump into self-publishing! The very best of luck 😀
At last some raitlnaoity in our little debate.
Haha, shouldn’t you be charging for that kind of knowledge?!
That’s a lot of suspicion and tension to overcome!
And congrats on jumping into the self-publishing pool.
But what WILL she use her magic for?
He doesn’t understand the sacrifice she’s endured. Yeehaw on your publication!
