Today is the first day of fall. My favorite day of the year! Unfortunately it’s also the shortest season of the year followed by my least favorite season of the year. Maybe that’s why I love and cherish it so much! The weather is cool and the color of the leaves are vibrant. Why can’t last 6 months like winter?
Pagans know the first day of fall as Mabon.
Mabon marks the middle of harvest, it is a time of equal day and equal night, and for the moment nature is in balance. It is a time to reap what you have sown, of giving thanks for the harvest and the bounty the Earth provides. For finishing up old projects and plans and planting the seeds for new enterprises or a change in lifestyle. Mabon is a time of celebration and balance.
This is the time to look back not just on the past year, but also your life, and to plan for the future. In the rhythm of the year, Mabon is a time of rest and celebration, after the hard work of gathering the crops. Warm autumn days are followed by chill nights, as the Old Sun God returns to the embrace of the Goddess.
So, in honor of the first day of fall, Mabon, I’m offering That Kind of Magic for free at Amazon just for this weekend only!
What’s a witch to do when she refuses to use magic to find love? What if she falls in lust with a man who doesn’t believe in the power of magic? Charlotte is a beautiful Wiccan who has her own shop of magical supplies and a matchmaking goddess. Patrick is a straight-laced, non-believer who, in his determination to keep his sister away from the influences of magic and witchcraft, finds himself falling for a witch. Neither can stop the erotic journey they’ve embarked on but they don’t know if they can accept each others very different lives.
