HAPPY ST. PATRICK’S DAY! I hope everyone enjoys the day! Don’t drink too much green beer!
It’s been an interesting week in my little world of writing. Not an altogether bad week. I’ll have a big announcement coming soon in regards to some “new” releases. I just need a few days or so to organize myself.
Anyway, I’m going back to my upcoming release (I’m hoping I’m on track for a March 27th release and I can’t wait to unveil my new cover here) NO GOING BACK.
Here’s the blurb:
As if moving from Los Angeles to a New Hampshire town with less than two hundred residents isn’t enough for ex-Hollywood socialite, Ari Milbanke, she has a house full of someone else’s life, the lonely ghost of a teen-aged girl and a handsome neighbor who runs a horse rescue facility. She has a lot ahead of her as she settles her two young daughters into their new life while trying to hide the one she left behind.
Sam Beauchamp was content with his life. Rescuing and training horses has always satisfied him, but when newcomer, Ari and her daughters came into his life he realized how much was missing. Even the ghost attached to the decade’s old mysterious disappearance isn’t enough to deter him. What might, though, is Ari’s inability to be open with her past and who she really is.
And here’s my eight sentences. Ari’s ex-husband has shown up uninvited to their daughter’s birthday party, exposing Ari’s real identity. Sam isn’t too pleased.
“So, that’s your ex. Great guy.”
Sam’s voice was cold and low, edgy with sarcasm.
“He’s not supposed to be here. My sister should never have told him where we were.”
“Why didn’t you tell me who you really were? Why the disguise?”
“It’s complicated, and it’s not really a disguise. My mother’s last name is Milbanke. I’m just borrowing it.”
So, the jig is up for Ari and soon her wild past will be revealed to all her new friends.
I hope to have to the cover up soon. Only ten more days to go!
